“Kriti”, a short-film directed by Shirish Kunder is trending since it was uploaded on YouTube. It has received rave reviews from Critics as well as viewers for the amazing storyline, acting and direction.  Everything was going well with this film until yesterday when an amateur film-maker from Nepal claimed that this film is a copy of his short-film “Bob” which he had first released on Vimeo in October 2015 ( but only for the close friends)

Aneel Neupane, a young film-maker from Nepal made this video available for “public viewing” on May 12, 2016, using the YouTube platform. According to him, It has only 3033 views till yesterday. He has all reasons to be sad, angry and frustrated and of course he was, but only till yesterday!

Though Filmmaker Shirish Kunder has rubbished the claims that his short film “Kriti” is a copy of Nepali short Film “Bob”, but the voice of this guy is being heard all over the world and he is getting huge media coverage by big media agencies from across the world. He has received a lot of support messages and feedback from people who has viewed his video.

At the time of writing this post, this short film has more than 37,215 views on YouTube. Don’ forget that just a few hours before , it had only 3033 views.



Though, saying “thanks” to Shirish was certainly a sarcastic comment but whether you like it or not, this controversy has really helped him to gain a “well-deserving” publicity as well as popularity.



Aneel has also posted some photographs of the first draft of his short film “Bob” dated 2015-03-27 along with the storyboard , equipment lists and costs for making “BOB”



Now, we have no idea if Aneel’s claim is true or not, but one thing is very sure from his comments that his story is genuine for sure. He has put tireless efforts to make this video and hence deserves all appreciation for it.

This Viral Parody Video of Taher Shah "Angel" Is Far Better Than The Original by Tomatoheart.com

If you are not dead and living your life on the same planet where we live then you must have heard about this video song.  It was so popular that the singer of this video now has a Wikipedia page even when he has sung only two songs in his entire life. Yes, we are talking about Pakistani singer and music producer Taher Shah’s Video song named “Angel”, causing what the BBC described a “social media frenzy”. He gathered a huge cult following for this video and made him an “overnight pop sensation” according to The Atlantic.







Now a YouTube channel called “PuraniDilliTalkies” has created a comedy sketch doing the parody of Taher Shah’s Angel Video song. They cleverly converted the entire lyrics and perfectly changed “Angel” to “Brinjal”.








This video has now become viral and has gathered more than 1 million views within three days of the upload.  I loved the part when he says “Brinjal… Fully Organic……Come and buy Brinjal” Here is a GIF of this part.

When the original “Angel” video was released, the Twitter hashtag #TaherShah trended in Pakistan, India and the United Kingdom. In fact, It became #3 trend in the world, and #1 in India and Pakistan and now this parody video is also trending in India at #4. This is the power of this guy and I have to believe that Bad is the new Good 😀

Yes! He won The CNN-News18 Indian of the Year (originally CNN-IBN Indian of the Year) award in 2009 under “Politics” category. The official website mentions that he deserved this award quote







“For energizing the Congress and being the key strategist behind the party’s revival in Uttar Pradesh.”

But now when we are living in future with respect to that time, we know the position of Congress not just in UP but in the whole nation and a big portion of credit goes to the Vice-President of the Indian National Congress (INC) party and the Chairperson of the Indian Youth Congress and the National Students Union of India, Mr. Rahul Gandhi. Keeping these things in mind I didn’t find it worthy enough to mention on the first page of his achievement list.


Note: Though this article is written for humor, but I really didn’t find some real achievements to convey about this man. I am writing this as an Indian Citizen and in no way affiliated to any political party of India. There are some intelligent, talented leaders and thinkers in Congress but Mr. Gandhi ( in discussion here ) is certainly not one of them.
